Purim

Purim is one of the annual biblical festivals described in the Book of Esther. The word Purim is a Hebrew word meaning lots, so-called for the lots that the wicked Amalekite prince Haman cast in order to choose the day he planned for the genocide of the Jewish people across the Persian empire of his day. The lesson of Purim is this:

The Jewish people face many troubles in this life but the LORD will preserve them as a people forever. He is faithful to His promises.
