The text for this session:

(Q): Could you explain what it means to have our names written in the Book of Life?

(A): What it means to have our names written in the Book of Life, is that God has a book in which He writes the names of all believers throughout all time. The remarkable fact about this book is that it was written before ever we appeared on the earthly scene. Our names were inscribed before the foundation of the world, and that means that the all-seeing God, from the beginning of eternity to the end of eternity saw all that was going to come to pass and wrote our names down even before he had created the universe.

(Q): The Body of Messiah or the Family of God as we define is made up of Jewish and Gentile Believers. Would you elaborate though on how this works?

(A): The Body of Jewish and Gentile Believers are called the Body of the Messiah. He is described as the Head, and we are members of His Body. The analogy of Head and Body points up the primacy on Messiah as the leader of His people. He is the Head of a new race. The old race is in Adam. The new race is in Messiah. Adam is the head of the old unbelieving race. Messiah is the Head of the new believing race of followers.
